Job Description
The Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and running the day to day for internship and early career programs under the guidance of the Director, Talent Acquisition. This will include the recruitment processes, career development conversations, and workshops. The Specialist will drive internship and recruitment programs intended to create a pool of talented candidates for entry to mid-management professional positions for both back of house and park facing management. The suite of programs will include, but not limited to, managing the Campus2Careers internship program for USH, internal UShine internship program, liaising with UDX, NBCU and Comcast on leadership development programs and candidates, focus on developing relationships both internally and externally. The Specialist will partner heavily with HR partners across USH to execute and create meaningful career growth opportunities within their client bases.

Job Description

Essential Functions
- Oversee the recruitment and execution of the internship programs for USH, including uSHINE, NBCUniversal Campus2Careers internships and Constitutional Rights Foundation summer program. Create an internship team/council comprised of HR and USH employees to develop meaningful and enriching learnings and events in addition to the on the internship project and job experience. Maintain a process to stay in touch with interns and create an entry level pipeline post-graduation.
- Work on a communication plan to inform employees of the various programs and resources. Develop a process for career discussions and guidance to help inform employees. Collaborate with L&O team to create and deliver career related workshops.
- Develop relationships with those who run the various NBCUniversal and Comcast LDP (leadership development programs). Look at ways for USH to either participate or for our executives to speak to their program participants as part of promoting the USH employment brand and career opportunities.
- Build contacts and relationships with key college campuses across the US known for their industry relevant majors and MBA programs. Promote USH as an employer of choice. Discover campus or alumni events, panel discussion, guest speaker series or symposiums where we might be able to leverage our executives as speakers, developing awareness of career opportunities and growth. Find ways through digital communications, employment videos, job opportunities to raise awareness as an employer of choice to remote locations.
- Work with Operational Staffing and TA to look at the JPP program and see what opportunities exist to develop and expand the focus, desired experience and growth opportunity and potential career paths for employees who join the program.
- Develop relationships within NBCUniversal and UDX Talent Acquisition teams to understand where USH may partner and participate in any National events, mixers, and local networking opportunities. Together with TA Director and Operational Staffing identify organizations in the local community to partner with, host events, to raise awareness of internship programs and entry level opportunities.
- Collaborate with L&OD and HR Business Partners to incorporate early career needs into learning curriculum (e.g. resume writing, personal presence building, etc.)
- Recruit for a variety of fulltime roles across the business as needed and as a part of Talent Acquisition Team.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or related field required.
- Minimum 3years of increasingly responsible Human Resources experience, including experience with internship programs, early career development initiatives, recruitment into pipeline programs, employee relations, performance management & organizational development processes/activities, compensation and benefits.
- Advanced degree in HR management, Organizational Development or Industrial Relations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast paced, high dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong facilitation, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with an HRMS such as SAP.
- Experience in union/represented environments and retail or hospitality industry highly preferred.
- Experience with internal LDP’s
- This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
