What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Extinguisher Shop Student Assistant position at University at Buffalo?
Student Assistant is responsible for assisting the Fire Extinguisher Safety Technician with yearly/monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and monthly inspections of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) around University at Buffalo Campuses. As well as maintenance of fire extinguishers, AED units, and other fire code and life safety equipment vital to the UB community.
Qualifications:
Must be a student at any SUNY school
Valid Driver’s License
Fire Safety experience preferred
Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy equipment.
Hours: 15-29 hours a week between 8am and 5pm during the summer. 12-20 hours a week during the school semester. Schedules are flexible.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
