Medical Records Specialist, Student Health Services

Position Summary

at the University at Buffalo is actively recruiting for a Medical Records Specialist to join our diverse and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with New York State Public Health Laws 2165 and 2167, university policy and department requirements for attendance.
• Monitoring compliance with additional requirements for students in health-related academic programs and serving as liaison to those programs.
• Performing health record reviews, data entry and data entry audits.
• Creating and / or updating clinic forms on paper and in the electronic health record.
• Releasing confidential health information in accordance with state & federal laws.
