Position Summary :
Intake Supervisor is accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources.
The working position of Intake Supervisor will assist in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor and duties as well as Admissions Coordinator as needed within department.
Position of Intake Supervisor requires skill of providing effective leadership within the Admissions Department and the ability to organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, referral sources through the referral and Admission process.
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
Education : Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Licensed Registered Nurse / Clinical Licensure
Experience : 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
Prior management experience preferred.
