JOB SUMMARY
Delivers on University Credit Unions core purpose of giving the University Community a financial advantage by building and nurturing relationships and programs within designated authority. Under general supervision and in conformance with established policies and procedures, oversees all finance, accounting & support, and cards/electronic services functions within the credit union. Plans, controls, and coordinates the functions of all finance, accounting & support, and cards/electronic services.
LOCATION
We are passionate about attracting great talent to our team, so this position will be a hybrid arrangement with travel expectations to designated university partners and CU locations.

Responsible for all accounts payable functions and manage effectively to obtain the best possible pricing wherever and whenever possible.
Manage all corporate checks appropriately.
Provide support to all the credit union staff for the areas of responsibility.
Enterprise Risk Management
Oversee all areas of the Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance efforts of the credit union.
Identify and develop overall enterprise risk management program for the protection of the credit union assets and long term financial success.
Develop and implement risk management strategies within the guidelines of the overall strategic direction of the credit union.
Develop and implement compliance and audit programs for the entire credit union to assure compliance with regulations and policies.
Prepare and be the liaison for all the exams and audits (both internal and external).
Notify Board/Supervisory Committee/Management team/staff of all risks that are pertinent to the credit union.
General Responsibilities
Actively support and promotes UCU core values, mission and vision statements, and staff commitment.
Evaluate performance of staff as required by HR policies.
Set department and all individual goals and coach all staff to successfully achieve those goals.
Manage scheduling of staff for optimization of staff effectiveness in all operational areas.
Commit to the Service Standards and Staff Commitments.
Promote positive attitudes in all staff and teambuilding to create a culture of cooperation with all staff. Maintain high level of morale at all times.
Supervise and manage internal staff as necessary to carry out all duties.
Ensure quality work at all levels of the credit union.
Manage 3rd party relationships that are related to all responsible areas.
Train and coach managers and staff on all necessary areas to successfully carry out the duties of each position.
Develop and manage department budget according to and within the plan.
Develop and maintain all procedures necessary to create consistencies in all operations under the areas of responsibility.
Initiate, develop and lead projects that are related to the areas of responsibility.
Prepares reports as requested by the Board or the CEO.
Inform CEO of all operations, conditions, and influencing factors.
Develop strategic plans for all areas of responsibility.
Identify and/or rectify areas of improvement, changes in procedures, new products and services developments, changes in the services to effectively compete in the marketplace.
Ensure adequate staffing, not under or over in all areas of responsibility.
Communicate with staff in effective manner and be transparent.
Promote innovative thinking at all staff levels and encourage staff involvement as much as possible. Optimize whenever possible.
Support fully the credit union culture as established by the CEO.
Stay updated with and adhere to the requirements of BSA
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Minimum Bachelors Degree in related field is required. Masters Degree and/or CPA preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE : Deep knowledge of Credit Union operations.
Thorough understanding of business and media processes.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous finance and/or accounting experience of at least 7 years. Minimum 5 years of management experience..
Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments more years of related experience.
Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Expert knowledge of all operations of the credit union.
Excellent knowledge of all federal and state regulations in place for the credit union.
Expert knowledge of various investment types and risks associated required.
Extensive knowledge of accounting systems and GAAP required.
Intimate knowledge of the credit union bylaws, policies, procedures, products and services, and internal processes.
Working knowledge of IT systems.
Extensive knowledge of credit union products and services.
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
Management skills to best support the credit union.
Organization, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead others positively.
Proficient writing and grammar skills.
Creative thinking.
Working knowledge of training techniques.
