Job Description
Summary
Provide management of Resident care as related to the MDS and Care Plan and in accordance with HFCA regulations and guidelines, state regulations, and the mission and as directed by the Director of Nursing LTC and Administrator.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current license to practice as a RN in the State of Missouri.
- Three years of direct care experience, one year long term care experience to include experience in and ability to exhibit strong skills in clinical assessment and development and use of care plans.
- Knowledgeable of current standards of nursing practice and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
- Ability to apply nursing techniques to specific patient situations.
- Possess current knowledge of HFCA regulations and guidelines, MDS requirements and procedures, and PDPM procedures.
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain Care Plans and MDS records, Resident charts and reports.
- Ability to promote Resident quality of life and quality of care as evidenced by regulatory agency survey results.
- Ability to relate information concerning a Resident’s condition.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks in a professional manner.
- Experience organizing health care committees/meetings including coordination of attendees and output of meetings.
- Expertise using computer software related to production of Care Plans and MDS’s.
