POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates internal administrative operations for the Hawaii Keiki (HK) Program, including event planning, outreach activities, and communications. The position is under the supervision of the HK Business Operations Manager. Assists with external marketing and communication projects under the direction and guidance of the HK Senior Practice Director and the Marketing Manager of the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing & Dental Hygiene (SONDH).
Location: Hybrid - UH Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene/WFH 2 days per week
Full-Time Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm, 12 Month Employee
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training/Experience
Minimum:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Three years of professional experience with responsibilities in administration operations, outreach coordination, or communications or equivalent education/training or experience.
- Demonstrated experience in procuring services, processing payments, and day-of logistical coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple individuals within the leadership team while managing ongoing routine projects and responsibilities.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in planning large events.
Skills Knowledge
Minimum:
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally, and by preparing reports and other materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as communication with staff, between departments, and with clients and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with organizations, groups, team leaders and members, vendors, and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and word processing software such as Microsoft Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with Google Suite includes but is not limited to Google Sites, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA rules, regulations, and compliance.
- Strong command of Google Suite.
- Experience using WordPress or other website platforms.
- Experience using Canva or other online infographic platforms.
- Experience using Dropbox and Adobe for routing approvals for e-signature.
- Experience writing news stories for public publications and reports.
- Experience with proofreading and editing
