What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Safety Assistant PRN position at University Health System- San Antonio?
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in minor maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of fire alarm and sprinkler systems along with the checking of all types of fire extinguishers within University Health System (the Health System) buildings and facilities helps different trades bypass and acknowledge fire alarm panels, annunciators along with maintaining and cleaning fire alarm devices. Ensures safe, competent, efficient, and timely performance of assigned tasks. Cares for and uses materials, supplies, tools, and equipment properly.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Reading, interpreting and applying plans, specifications, blueprints, schematics, codes and work orders is a good quality to possess but not necessary.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver’s license is “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and insurable by the Health System.
