The Language Access Services Operations Manager will manage University Health's Interpretation and Translation Services Program to assure health information is provided in a manner that is appropriate to patients' linguistic and cultural orientation.
POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Functions as a liaison between the limited English proficiency and hearing impaired patients and all University Health System departments.
- Interacts with other departments or organizational entities to ensure communication and explanation of service is provided in a way that can be easily understood by patients and their families.
- Develops and maintains appropriate auditing and quality assurance as needed for compliance with Local, State, and Federal laws, rules, regulations, conditions, and mandates.
