What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Shop Manager position at University Health?
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITY
Manages the gift shop at University Hospital. To ensure that customers have access to gifts, Starbucks, snacks, and other items that will make their stay or visit a satisfying one. Manager ensures the Gift Shop a profitable operation that contributes to the financial success of the health system. Promotes the University Health System's guest Relations policy and customer satisfaction policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Two years of college in courses related to material management is preferred. Two years of supervisory experience in retail sales is required. Five years' experience in retail Food operations, food production, or Food Production, or Patient Food Service preferred. Three years in a management/supervisory position in a food service operation or equivalent preferred. Starbucks work experience is preferred. Computer data entry experience is preferred. Experience may be waived by the administrator.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
Must maintain a current Serve Safe Certification. Must keep current any registration and licenses as appropriate to work duties.
