What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse, Cardiac Catherization Laboratory position at University Hospital?
The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to provide direct patient care, perform nursing procedures, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, and patient/family feedback unless otherwise noted.
Qualifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. At least one (1) year of experience in special procedures, radiology, or a cardiac catheterization lab, or two (2) years of recent critical care experience. Current ACLS and BLS certification is required. Exercises competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate to all ages of patients served from late adolescent to the end of life.
