DescriptionWhat You Will Do
- Function as leader of the Developmental Pediatrics triage team who will connect patients to the appropriate provider/service.
- Develop excellent knowledge of clinical parameters for all division providers to ensure appropriate triage.
- Develop excellent knowledge of outside referral points (i.e., Psychiatry, Neurology) for appropriate triage.
- Assist patients through initial intake process by obtaining clinical and demographic information.
- Determine benefit eligibility.
- Assist patients with insurance questions and financial/billing related issues.
- Telephone and face to face meetings to be handled in a professional, courteous and caring manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
