This position travels to various locations throughout the UH system
A Brief Overview
The Carpenter is primarily responsible for constructing, installing, erecting, and repairing fixtures and structures made from wood and other materials.
What You Will Do
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled carpentry related maintenance and/or repair to equipment throughout the facility.
- Maintains and repairs various architectural parts of the facilities including, but not limited to, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, countertops, furniture, doors, and signage.
- Performs painting as required.
- Initiates work orders.
- Documents all work, closing work orders in the current CMMS software.
- Provides correct list of required materials and/or parts and completes work orders timely.
- Shift work may vary based upon hospital demands and emergencies

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
