Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring compliance through auditing and monitoring of El Paso Health’s (EPH) operational areas and delegated entities based on regulatory and contractual requirements. Independently and collaboratively works with all health plan functional areas to develop, implement, maintain, assess and report on contractually compliant operational practices, controls and provides recommendations for process improvement.
Skills
1. Strong knowledge of auditing concepts and statistical analysis methods.
2. Ability to manage complex interdisciplinary projects.
3. Strong knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
4. Ability to perform in an environment involving quotas for auditing standards.
5. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and multitasking skills.
6. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
7. Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve services.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work Experience
Three years of experience in internal auditing, compliance, quality assurance or risk management required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of regulatory and contractual requirements, with proficiency in monitoring practices to ensure adherence to ethical standards and compliance obligations.
License / Registration / Certification
Certified Healthcare Auditor (CHA) from the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance (AIHC) or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) by the American Academy of Professional Coders obtained within one year of being in the position.
Education and Training
Bachelor in Business Administration or healthcare related field required.
