Duties & Responsibilities :
- Implements and communicates UAB policies regarding any potential financial conflicts of interest of personnel responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting of research.
- Assists members of the Conflict of Interest Review Board and the Institutional Conflict of Interest Review Board including scheduling, planning, and preparing for meetings.
- Ensures prompt and accurate reporting of significant financial interests as required by regulations and UAB policy.
- Performs administrative review of proposals and disclosures to determine if conflicts exist. Advises the Board regarding any findings.
- Assists in developing policies and procedures responding to changing federal regulations and institutional needs.
- Assists with the design and presentation of training required by regulations and UAB policy.
- Serves as liaison between UAB, federal agencies, and UAB personnel. Serves as a UAB representative during audits.
- Oversees office and supervises support staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary : $94,375 – $153,355 (salary commensurate with experience)
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven (7) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.
