What are the responsibilities and job description for the FINANCIAL AFFAIRS ASSOCIATE I position at University of Alabama at Birmingham?
This position is responsible for helping support the Accounts Payable department in support of UAB and UAB Hospital. This candidate will be responsible for timely entry of invoices and efficient response to correspondence.
Duties & Responsibilities
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience required.

- To provide technical financial support for an assigned organization unit.
- To review requests and determine appropriateness with regard to institutional requirements, proper authorization, and conformance with established regulations.
- To assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of budgets and accounts, review requisitions, and order equipment and supplies.
- To collect financial information and provide reports and analyses as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
