What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESEARCHER ASSISTANT position at University of Alabama at Birmingham?
We are seeking a Research Assistant to work with the Principal Investigator in achieving the aims of an awarded AHA grant. Our research focuses on various cardiovascular diseases using different mouse models.
Experience working with experimental rodents and proficiency in routine molecular biology techniques are preferred.
Duties And Responsibilities
Associate's degree in a related field OR High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

- Daily animal breeding and management
- Animal genotyping.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Regular physiological measurement
- Intraperitoneal injection
- Experimental animals dissections.
- Primary cell culture.
- Tissue pathological analysis.
- Western blotting.
- Real-time PCR.
