The Aquatics Coordinator is a full-time position (12 months) that assists with the development and administration of a comprehensive aquatic unit, providing effective day-to-day supervision and management of aquatic facilities, programming, and student personnel. Aquatics includes lifeguard operations, risk management, swimming lessons, certification courses, leisure programming, special events and water chemistry. Coordinators are responsible for hands-on operations including aquatic facility operations, personnel supervision, pool maintenance, guest service, facility and equipment operations and maintenance, delivery of programs and services, program design and curriculum, and safety and risk management. Coordinates hiring, training, and supervising staff who oversee facilities and deliver programs. The position requires representation of the Department of Campus Recreation in a fair, consistent, cooperative and positive manner in accordance with Department and University policy. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Aquatic Operations.
