Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in General Business, Finance, Accounting or related field of study plus 6 years of work experience performing business functions - OR - High School diploma plus 8 years of work experience performing business functions.
- Experience in applying sound Human Resource and Payroll transaction processing.
- General understanding of Payroll and Human Resource laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and database management (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in General Business, Finance, Accounting or related field of study plus 4 years of work experience performing business functions.
- Human Resources and Payroll experience in a Healthcare, Governmental or Academic setting.
Additional Information:
- Incumbents are expected to have business office experience; knowledge of Human Resource and Payroll transaction processing in an integrated systems environment.
- Substantial desktop business applications skills such as Excel; knowledge of business controls and transaction processing in an integrated systems environment such as Workday, SAP, etc.; and the interpersonal skills necessary to foster the cooperation of technical and non-technical staff.
- Incumbents are expected to fulfill their responsibilities with general supervision while maintaining effective communications with the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Chief Administrative Officer.
- Incumbents are responsible for communicating major and non-routine transactions to the Assistant Vice Chancellor prior to execution.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, with management at all levels within the organization, with vendors, customers and clients and with peers across the industry.
- Ability to follow oral instructions, read and write.
- Must be well-organized and handle medium to high stress.
