Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle related functions OR High School Diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle related functions.

Coordinate and enhance access to care for UAMS employees ensuring complete confidentiality and work to ensure an optimal level of service at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences ambulatory Services.
Facilitate coordination of appointments and providers ensuring all special needs have been met.
Work effectively in a team environment, coordinating workflow with other team members and ensuring a productive and efficient environment.
Comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with, but not limited to CMS, Joint Commission, EMTALA, and OSHA. Demonstrates a high level of integrity and innovative thinking and actively contributes to the success of the organization. Adheres to UAMS and Patient Access related policies and procedures.
Adheres to UAMS confidentiality and HIPPA policies.
Demonstrates knowledge of individual responsibilities during emergency and disaster procedures; annually reviews all safety, infection control and Joint Commission required films and completes annual testing; utilizes campus resources appropriately always mindful of ways to decrease costs and increase reimbursements; submits written ideas and or problems to manager outlining possible changes or potential barriers to workflow processes.
Ability to work in multiple computer systems and interpret data as appropriate.
Maintains a good working relationship with patients and families, visitors, physicians, and other employees; interacts with patients/families/significant other using age-appropriate communication skills; offers frequently to assist other employees when needed making a conscious effort to recognize and support co-workers; demonstrates a professional appearance and demeanor and adheres to the hospital and department dress code; demonstrate effective communication skills with all customers including insurance companies and other third party payers; adheres to and enforces code of conduct, campus, hospital, and department policies and procedures.
Responsible to UAMS employees to secure realistic access to care with the desired provider(s) and guarantee an optimal level of services.
Contact the UAMS employee patient after services to ensure the patient experience was AMAZING and conduct service recovery as needed.
Instruct the UAMS employee patient on insurance benefits, patient responsibility, and billing office practices; assist in the resolution of perceived billing issues.
Educate potential candidates in the Primary Care Medical Home concept including expected benefits, guidelines, and outcomes.
Ensure that patients and families are aware of amenities provided on campus including valet parking, food and shuttle services, and a retail pharmacy.
Facilitate communications and access for any willing participant to the Center for Primary Care physicians and staff.
Maintain internal physician relations in order to enhance the patient experience and eliminate barriers to care.
Communicate with clinic management and staff to review scheduled UAMS employees and verify services to be provided.
Address special needs or circumstances of individuals and facilitate immediate resolution.
Professional Development: Attends required hours of training and/or in-services.
Attends staff meetings and participates in the orientation and/or training of new staff.
Participates in annual educational needs and assessments.
Maintains required job skills competencies and completes skills assessments annually.
Completes and maintains documentation of continuing education hoursannually.
