Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field;
- Up to one year of professional or relevant internship experience writing clear, compelling, and persuasive copy for various mediums (e.g., print, web, social media, or advertising).
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- One year of experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CMS, or social scheduling platforms);
- One year of experience conducting interviews and developing stories or content from source material;
- At least one year of experience working in a deadline-driven environment;
- Experience working in higher education or a mission-driven organization is a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to adapt voice and style across multiple content types;
- Experience contributing to projects as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Familiarity with branding and content strategy principles.
