Job Description :
The Coordinator of the Real Estate & Economic Development (REED) program provides leadership and overall program oversight of the curriculum, including the creation, review and revision of the curriculum. Acts as an advisor for the students. Assists the University's career center in obtaining co-op / internship positions for students who are in the program. Promotes the REED program to students and the real estate community in Maryland, as well as the promotion for scholarship and partnership sourcing.
This is a grant-funded 30-hour-per-week position (75% FTE) with funding for two years.
Responsibilities :
- Implement and oversee REED curriculum; Maintain a program of high quality
- Advance the REED program through promotion to students, the real estate community in Maryland, and developing partnerships with local real estate firms / organizations
- Act as an advisor to the students in the program; Assist the University's career center in getting co-op / internships for students
- Liaise with the Merrick School's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to connect REED students with entrepreneurial opportunities; coordinate activities with the Merrick School REED Advisory Board (e.g., Lessons from Legends event)
- Recruit adjuncts to teach REED program classes
