Job Summary
The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as a Community Nutrition Educator in Colusa County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting, managing, and evaluating a nutrition education program to create a healthier school and community environment.
This role involves coordinating, managing, and delivering nutrition education with community-based adults and/or youth in partnership with local public health and community organizations. You will train, guide, and support schoolteachers who volunteer to support health education in their classes by providing them with education, information, and resources; evaluate program implementation; collect and compile enrollment information; assure proper documentation; collect evaluation data from teachers and participants; perform data entry for reporting; and write reports in compliance with funding requirements.
You will also build and maintain an informal network of partners, align nutrition education projects with approved curricula and educational materials, develop news releases and news articles, and maintain knowledge and competence about the subject matter.
