Job Description
This position is responsible for conducting, managing, and evaluating a nutrition education program to promote a healthier school and community environment.
The Community Education Specialist 2 will perform the full range of program implementation duties, including training, guiding, and supporting school teachers who volunteer to support health education in their classes. The incumbent will also coordinate with local public health and community organizations to deliver nutrition education to community-based adults and/or youth.
- Evaluate program implementation and collect data from teachers and participants
- Compile enrollment information and ensure proper documentation
- Develop news releases and articles to promote the program
This position requires strong knowledge and competence about nutrition education and the ability to build and maintain an informal network of partners.
