The Performance Improvement Consultant III serves as an internal consultant for all levels of the Medical Center. The Consultant leads process improvement activities utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology , which are strategically aligned with the organizational goals using accepted improvement methodologies, including measurement, analysis, development of improvement plan, and the reporting of project results. The Consultant establishes strong working relationships with interdisciplinary members of the health care team including the medical staff, nursing and other operational areas, administration, and support services.
The Consultant develops and presents data including executive summary reports, balanced score cards, and other reporting formats via committee structures as assigned. The position encompasses program and project management, consultation, facilitation, data abstraction, analytics and interpretation. This role provides strategic planning and project management support, aligning to organizational goals for the Perioperative Division. Exemplifies the mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with our policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or Project Management Professional Certification
- Bachelor's degree in business, health science, project management, engineering, or related field
- Experience in facilitating Rapid Process Improvement Workshops and Kaizen Events
- Experience in leading Strategic Planning Sessions
- Experience in new program development and implementation
- Experience working in an Academic Medical Center

Perioperative Services is a large division comprised of departments including the Operating Rooms, Pre-Op and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Departments, Pre-Anesthesia Clinic, Anesthesia, Sterile Processing Department, GI Lab and Interventional Pulmonary Procedural Department. This role supports both clinical and administrative leaders in the Perioperative Division.
