The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate students unparalleled training for future careers in pharmacy, medicine, and biomedical research. Under supervision, the incumbent will assist the Professor in preparing grants, manuscripts and proposals and some high level administrative work such as coordinating events, updating and maintaining website content, and special projects as strategic priorities evolve. This is a part-time position which does not include benefits.
Your Role on the Team
- Knowledge of agency guidelines (i.e, NSF, NIH) and University policies in order to prepare and submit proposals in a timely manner.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent writing skills. Experience writing grants, manuscripts, and IRB proposals in basic, translational, and clinical sciences research. Proven ability to work independently to prioritize and carry out assigned tasks reliably with only general direction; Motivation to learn. Professional grants and contracts preparation experience. Required computer skills: Excel, Word, Prism, and experience with creating graphs. Statistical analysis experience using various programs such as prism or R package. Web page experience.
