Position Summary
The Director for Project, Product, and Service Management will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the diverse teams of project managers, product managers, and service managers across the University of California system, reporting directly to the UCOP Chief Information Officer and Deputy CIO of UC System. This dynamic leader will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that align project, product, and service management initiatives with the UC system's overarching goals, ensuring excellence in execution, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of project, product, and service management across the University of California system. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant impact on the UC's mission of teaching, research, and public service, driving innovation, efficiency, and collaboration across diverse teams and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement UC IT strategic plan to align project, product, and service management initiatives with the UC system's overall goals, fostering innovation and driving organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee the execution of projects, product development, and service delivery across the UCOP, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Foster collaboration and communication among management teams, promoting cross-functional synergy, knowledge sharing, and a unified approach to project, product, and service management.
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in project, product, and service management, adapting strategies and approaches to meet the evolving needs of the UC system.
