Job Summary

The position uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. The individual independently performs project management, communication, analysis, reporting, and dissemination activities for a variety of projects and programs at Healthforce Center at UCSF.

Under the direction of Healthforce Center senior management, leadership, faculty and/or Principal Investigators, this individual works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organization to ensure that the projects are implemented according to plan.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $80,200 - $120,300 (Annual Rate).

Healthforce Center at UCSF, prepares health care organizations for success by combining a deep understanding of the issues facing the health care workforce with the leadership skills needed to drive progress. Only by bringing together the human ingredients of health care can organizations truly drive positive change. Understanding the dynamics between workforce trends and the leadership skills required to address them is vital to successfully improving the health care landscape.

Healthforce Center offers services to foundations, hospitals, delivery systems, organizations, and individuals to ensure more effective health care delivery and to inform health care policy.Our efforts are focused in the core areas of research with actionable results, consulting and evaluation, programs that develop leadership and resilience, making connections across sectors, and advancing equity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and three or more years of relevant experience and/or equivalent experience / training.
  • Intermediate knowledge of business computer application programs. (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote) - minimum 2 years applying skills in a graduate or professional setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing - minimum 2 years applying these skills in a graduate or professional setting,
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Analytical / problem-solving experience.
  • Skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing data for preparing relevant proposals / analyses / reports. - minimum 2 years applying these skills in a graduate or professional setting,
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Experience and knowledge on organizing meeting and events
  • Strong project and program management skills/techniques - minimum 2 years applying these skills in a graduate or professional setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree and one more years or relevant experience and/or equivalent experience / training.
  • Valid CA driver's license (to travel to seminars)
  • PMI/PMP (or equivalent project management certification)
  • Knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Qualtrics, etc.)
  • Experience in managing multi-year programmatic budgets
  • Experience with vendor procurement and management
