The UCA Occupational Therapy Department is seeking faculty as a Clinical Instructor I to help support our vision of developing competent, culturally aware practitioners, leaders, and advocate in the profession. Collegiality among faculty and students is valued, including developing a culture of growth where equity and diversity are embraced. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. The position is non-tenure track and a nine-month appointment.
The campus is widely acclaimed for its beauty, UCA is located in Conway, Arkansas, a thriving city of approximately 60,000 in central Arkansas, and 30 minutes from Little Rock, the capital city. Conway is home to several major industries, two private colleges, and excellent public and private K-12 schools. Residents have easy access to the Ouachita and Ozark National forests, pristine wildlife areas near the Buffalo National River, and mountains throughout Central and North Arkansas.

Responsibilities include teaching and advising graduate students in the entry level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. Faculty will engage in departmental, college, university, and community service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Responsibilities include teaching and modeling best practice in occupational therapy. Our ideal candidate has an aptitude and willingness to learn above their level of experience. The faculty member will be educating students in foundational concepts of occupational therapy and facilitating clinical experiential learning opportunities within the curriculum. Faculty will engage in departmental, college, university, and community service.

An earned doctorate degree in occupational therapy or related field with a minimum of 2 years of clinical practice as an occupational therapist and knowledge of teaching and learning in academia. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Preferred Education and/or Experience License(s)/Certifications (Required or Preferred)
Applicants must hold a license to practice occupational therapy in Arkansas and provide a record of initial certification as an occupational therapy practitioner.
