Position Summary
The University of Central Arkansas visiting faculty is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency / institution policy. The position is non-tenure track and a one year appointment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Instructor duties will include teaching undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, etc. In addition, this position will make contributions to the department through service at the department level. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Skills Considered Essential for Success -Knowledge of the organization and administration of higher education.
- Knowledge of student development theory.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and university rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Ability to compile statistics into reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with common goals as a part of a team.
- Ability to make sound judgments and assist in resolving student concerns.

Required Education and / or Experience The formal education of a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling or a related field is required. Preferred Education and / or Experience Teaching at the university level is preferred. License(s) / Certifications (Required or Preferred) Licensure as a mental health professional is preferred.
