Position Summary
The X-ray / Laboratory Technologist is responsible for coordinating clinical and x-ray operations, which includes maintaining and using equipment and supplies that image portions of the human body as well as performing clinical laboratory tests. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency / institution policy. Job Duties and Responsibilities Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures. Maintains equipment and orders supplies. Performs related administrative duties to include completing necessary forms, labeling films, and maintaining procedure logs. Maintains preventive maintenance schedule on equipment.
Analyzes laboratory findings to check the accuracy of results.
Collects and conducts chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, and urine
to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
Operates, calibrates, and maintains equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Prepares and maintains charts, work logs, quality assurance records, patient test
documentation, and other reports as needed. Participates in bi-yearly state inspections.
Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of radiographic standards and procedures. Knowledge of x-ray devices and equipment. Knowledge of infection control, radiation safety, and limiting exposure. Knowledge of clinic administrative procedures. Ability to operate x-ray devices and equipment. Ability to communicate information effectively. Skill in the execution of special diagnostic procedures. Knowledge of the methods and techniques of medical laboratory testing, equipment operation, and maintenance. Ability to perform clinical laboratory tests. Ability to maintain laboratory equipment. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records. Skills Considered Essential for Success -Knowledge of the organization and administration of higher education.

Must be ARRT registered as a radiologic technologist and possess an Arkansas license in accordance with ACA 17-106-107. Preferred Education and / or Experience Phlebotomy experience preferred.
