The Design and Construction Student Office Assistant provides assistance to Project Managers in all tasks related to the effective and efficient function of Facilities, Planning and Operations. Design and Construction Student Office Assistants are required to work Spring and Fall semesters. While Summer is not required, it is preferred. Work Study is required. Student Office Assistants that are hired will work with the Design and Construction Project Managers.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties will include, but not limited to: Work efficiently with minimal supervisionAchieve daily tasksScanning and organizing blueprint documentsLearn about building names to better organize documentsComfortable in new environments as one may be assigned to other duties around FPO and other departments and work assignments may change dailyAbility to receive instructions and follow themPerform other tasks as assigned including computer tasks and office duties.Assist with and/or conduct safety trainingProvide general assistance to project managers and Facilities management.Additional documents required at time of interview: Unofficial university transcriptCurrent class scheduleOne page of any report or paper that demonstrate writing skills.
