Union Building Attendant provides front line customer service for guests in the Elliott Student Union. Assists with events and operations in the building while ensuring for guest safety. Must be available some evenings and weekends.Must be able to work Summer 2025.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Opens and closes the building as determined by hours of operation.Reviews reservation report for room assignments and times.Greets all patrons upon arrival, directing them to appropriate rooms and offering assistance.Alerts or communicates with the Sodexo, audio-video and custodial staff to ensure table service, room, audio video equipment, sound and lighting are setup according to client requirements.Ensures the security of offices, rooms, and equipment during assigned hours.Walks on all floors at least every 30 minutes to observe activities, secure open rooms and assist clients and student organizations.Acts as a resource for student staff, customers, and guests, disseminating information on scheduled functions, services and policies.Posts daily room schedule, monitors bulletin boards, removing unauthorized and out of date items.Carries a radio and responds promptly to calls.Relieves other staff for breaks and helps during busy situations.Attends staff and training meetings.
