Main Responsibilities: Responsibilities are not limited to but include: Aid students in creating polished and professional application materials and have career conversations during the Walk-In Studio Experience (W.I.S.E Hours) that includes: resume and cover letter assistance, interview preparation and coaching, LinkedIn and Handshake assistance, life design exploration, and job and internship searchWelcome and communicate with all in-person and telephone constituents (staff, faculty, alumni, current students, employers, and administration) at the front desk of the centerApprove jobs and employers on HandshakeManage WISE check-in and appointments using the Handshake databasePost incoming employment opportunities using HandshakeManage office email and social media accountsPromote the Career and Life Design Center by attending and working semesterly eventsCreate awareness of the services available via faculty and student organization presentations and promoting the Career and Life Design CenterAssist with Graduate Follow-Up (GFS) calling in the Fall and Spring semesters.Help UCM students get connected, integrated, and engaged with their career readiness.Additional Responsibilities: Responsibilities are not limited to but include: Peer support to the UNIV 3000: Career Readiness Course through preparation, integration of activities, and engagement/support for the students in the classroom.Peer support to the UNIV 3100: Life Design through preparation, integration of activities, and engagement/support for the students in the classroom.Peer support to the UNIV 1400: University Foundations through preparation, integration of activities, and engagement/support for the students in the classroom. Co-host the The Mule Mindset podcast by editing, creating content and promoting through the Career & Life Design Center Instagram.Lead or assist with the spring semester THRIVE Career Readiness WorkshopsReceive and distribute Handshake job postings through email marketing as neededLead the creation, editing and distribution of career event marketing materials via Handshake and SlateAssist with the creation of curriculum materials including marketing, slides, etc.Assist with data clean-up and event analysis
