Description
The programming director for UCM Radio-The Beat is responsible for updating The Beat's pre-recorded shows, brainstorming other pre-recorded shows to fill gaps in programming, and researching new music to share.
Examples of Duties
- Each week pre-program automated shows such as "The Beatles Power Hour", "Wake Up and Jam", and "It's SHOWTIME!!".
- Informally survey students to find music tastes and program shows accordingly
- Work with Radio Club to come up with new ideas for shows
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior at the University of Central Missouri
Supplemental Information
Working Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday (10-20 hours/week, specific schedule to be negotiated with successful candidate)
Special Instructions:
