Job Summary: |
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics (BMG) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications for an open-rank faculty position in structural biology, specifically in the area of cryo-electron microscopy or cryo-electron tomography. The ideal candidate will use cryo-EM/cryo-ET to address fundamental biological questions from a mechanistic standpoint. The applicant would join a large group of structural biology faculty whose expertise includes cryo-EM, x-ray, NMR, single-molecule imaging, and mass spectrometry. Our department is highly collaborative and research emphases include RNA biology, chromatin structure and function, enzyme and receptor structure and mechanism, proteomics and metabolomics, and evolutionary and cancer biology. Our campus offers state-of-the-art resources for structural biology research, including a recently upgraded, cryo-ET capable, Talos Arctica TEM equipped with a Selectris imaging energy filter. The greater Denver area offers an excellent quality of life and is home to an outstanding research community, which includes colleagues from both the CU Anschutz and Boulder campuses, along with easy access to additional cryo-EM resources at CU Boulder, as well as a National Center for Cryo-ET. Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor * $125,000 - $150,000 Associate Professor * $155,000 - $195,000 Professor * $175,000 - $220,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
