Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral Fellow to join the Klein Lab, part of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The appointment will be for a two to three-year period. The main emphasis of this position will be working in the research areas of genomics, cancer biology, and patient-derived organoids. Experience in genomics and cancer biology, particularly single-cell sequencing, high-throughput screens, and tissue culture, is desired.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Graduated from an accredited college/university with a PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or relevant program.
- Direct experience with cancer genetics and genomics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Grant writing experience
- Peer reviewed articles
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of federal regulations
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
- Highly motivated, eager to learn, taking initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
- Great organizational skills and record keeping abilities
- The ability to work independently within the research lab
