Job Summary: |
The therapist at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Student and Resident Mental Health (SRMH) will join the team with responsibilities for mental health care of our graduate and doctoral level health professional students, residents, and fellows. The primary responsibility of this clinician is to provide individual and group therapy for adult students dealing with psychosocial stressors, and mental health and substance use problems. Additional responsibilities include leadership in program development and coordination of and participation in outreach efforts. SRMH is a clinical service in operation since 2008 and provides and coordinates mental health and wellness services to approximately 4500 health professional students and more than 1000 CU GME and Denver Health residents and fellows. Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. |

The SRMH team members include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and a psychiatric advance practice provider. The team provides initial psychiatric evaluations, ongoing mental health care, and referrals as necessary. SRMH supports the missions of all the schools, helping them effectively address mental health issues that arise in their programs or with their students. The therapist will coordinate with the CU Anschutz CARE team, student services, the Student Health Promotions Manager, and other school faculty and staff as needed. The SRMH therapist will be expected to work at least one evening a week (until 8pm). Otherwise, the typical schedule is M-F, 8am-5pm.
