The Department of Naval Science at the University of Colorado Boulder is a department within the Office of Undergraduate Education and is responsible for managing the Navy Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) program and the students (Midshipmen) in it. Our staff is a team of dedicated active duty Navy and Marine Corps instructors, contractors, and civilians working in unison to train, educate, and commission University of Colorado students into the United States Navy and Marine Corps.

Work involves elements of several supply programs including but not limited to: Government Purchase Card (GPC) procedures, NROTC Online Supply System (NOSS) usage, Educational Service Agreement (ESA) procedures, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and Invoicing, Receipt, Acceptance, and Property Transfer (iRAPT). Supply Technicians perform the following duties:

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Work involves elements of several supply programs including but not limited to: Government Purchase Card (GPC) procedures, NROTC Online Supply System (NOSS) usage, Educational Service Agreement (ESA) procedures, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and Invoicing, Receipt, Acceptance, and Property Transfer (iRAPT). Supply Technicians perform the following duties:
- Develop annual Unit OM&N and MPN budget.
- Verify accuracy of invoices for contracted services/initiate payment/coordinate payments, and track payment to completion IAW FAR and NSCTC M-1533.2
- Coordinate stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures.
- Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records.
- Receive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations, and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans.
- Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply organizations.
- Search catalogs, records, or other data sources to acquire or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock items.
- Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to acquire material status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sites.
- Process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room or similar storage area, issue material to shop or work center personnel, keep local stock records, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standard reports such as variances between actual and estimated costs, and perform related stock receipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and non-expendable items for a local organization.
- Identify requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrative supplies, forms, publications, or other printed materials.
- Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property and perform standardized property management control processes; and/or
- Operate computer terminals or personal computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections.
- This is a temporary, full-time position anticipated to last 2 - 4 weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm (including lunch).
- Salary: $31.34/hr.

What We Require
- A Bachelors Degree.
- 1 year of related experience OR
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
- Applying supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to maintain materials and supplies.
- Maintaining automated supply systems/programs in accordance with procedures.
- Supervising supply budget and reporting to verify available funding for the procurement of supplies.
- Practicing the execution of property management procedures and material control.
One or more years of experience:
- As a Cardholder (CH), Authorizing Official (AO), or Agency Oversight Program Coordinator (AOPC) with the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program.
- Using the NOSS (or service equivalent).
- Implementing Educational Service Agreements (ESA).
- Using WAWF or iRAPT for contracting vendor supplies and services or
- Two full semesters using NERP for ordering and reimbursement.
