Job Summary
The technician position will involve working at the University of Colorado Mountain Research in support of the forest demography studies, that are part of the Niwot Ridge Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project. The position includes surveying of seed production, tree regeneration, and tree growth, along with helping maintain instruments and infrastructure. The expected position start date is Jul 15, 2023.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Duties will also include some tree-ring preparation, tree-ring measurement, data entry, and data quality control and assurance.

This is an hourly paid position and the hourly range is $17-$18/hour.

What We Require
- Undergraduate degree in ecology, environmental science, forestry, geography, or a related field.
- Previous experience in monitoring tree regeneration processes.
What You Will Need
- Demonstrated ability to hike 5 miles during the day at high elevations (ca. 10,000 ft) with a full backpack over rough and challenging terrain.
