Salary Range: Generally starting at a $2,500-$3,000 stipend plus $200 per student up to 10 and $100 per student over 10 (per section), minimum of $4,000-$5,000 per 3 credit hour course. Pay rate is dependent upon education and experience of the lecturer. Pay rate is dependent upon education and experience of the lecturer. Compensation is prorated based on course credit hours. This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Work Location: Classes will be online.
Remote work will be available for emergency events. This will be offered based on the emergency and allowance will come from leadership and the guidelines provided at the time of the emergency.
Summary
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (EAS) Online Graduate Programs from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. The College of Engineering & Applied Science offers an online Master of Engineering program in three (3) emphasis areas – engineering management, systems engineering, and space operations.
Essential Functions
This position will teach classes for EAS Online Graduate Programs. Classes will be online. Examples of courses/subject area include the following:

This lecturer pool will remain active through December 31, 2024 when all applications will be cleared from the pool and we will post a new announcement. This posting is for open positions in the summer 2025 semester and the 2024-2025 academic year. If you are not selected in the current pool, you are welcome to reapply to the subsequent pool.

- Master’s degree in engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field is required.
- A terminal degree in engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- An ideal candidate will have at least four months teaching experience and/or at least four months experience teaching online classes.
- Relevant industry experience that includes current engagement in professional activities is preferred.
