Salary Range: $43,476 - $49,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Work Location: On-site/Hybrid eligible

Summary
University Advancement professionals build various levels of support and affinity for the institution through a coordinated effort as part of the university's primary outreach to the community and region. This includes building support and funding through community engagement and alumni outreach efforts, attendance at key events, representation on important initiatives and the creation of partnerships supporting the university's mission. UCCS Marketing and Communications helps move UCCS forward by advancing the image and reputation of the university and telling its story to key audiences. Team members build relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni and donors to mine content that is expressed across a variety of communications platforms. The department handles branding, marketing, advertising, email marketing, web content development, strategic communications planning, media relations, issues/crisis communications, internal communications and digital and social media. Marketing and Communications collaborates with colleagues in the university’s six colleges, administrative units as well as at other CU campuses and the CU Office of the President. The Videographer resides within the Video Production Department of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The Videographer is responsible for providing video production support for the Video Production Department.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide video production support within the department for live and non-linear post production.
- Discuss media production needs with clients to determine program content and structure.
- Produce programs: conduct interviews; manage talent; serve as producer, editor, videographer, and/or audio/lighting specialist.
- Assist in upkeep of the office, studio, production truck, gear, production set and properties.
- Manage student crew and assist in training students in the field for live streamed or broadcasted events.
- Work with engineer to set up or manage remote multicamera productions and support live sporting events, which can be non-typical hours on weekends and evenings.
- Work with the program manager and office students to produce video packages within deadlines.
- Producing commercials, news-type video packages, and other assigned marketing material.
- Shoot and build Broll library as a resource for the department and University.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline appropriate to the position is required by start date. Substitution: Year-for-year experience will be considered as a substitution for the degree.
- Related experience in the field is required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is preferred.
- Professional experience in a live production environment is preferred.
