The Division of Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine seeks candidates for a full time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level; the position is available immediately. This may be offered as an in-Residence or tenurial track position dependent upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.
All candidates must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree and a certificate in Orthodontics from a CODA-accredited orthodontic program. Board-eligible or Board-certified candidates are preferred. An advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in any of the biological sciences, with related research experience is preferred and applicants with clinical and research experience in TMJ disorders, bone biology or skeletal biology will be given preference. Applicants must be eligible for CT dental licensure (provisional or unrestricted).
Responsibilities include teaching didactic and clinical orthodontics to predoctoral and postdoctoral/graduate students and residents; development of a research portfolio in collaboration with others or independently; scholarly activities and service to the institution. The candidate may have the opportunity to participate in intramural practice. Salary is commensurate with training and experience. The UConn School of Dental Medicine is located on the UConn Health Farmington campus, which comprises the Schools of Dental Medicine, Medicine and Graduate School, dental care center, outpatient medical practices, and the John Dempsey Hospital.
