The University of Connecticut Health's Department of Surgery is seeking an exceptional, forward-thinking leader to serve as the Director of Breast Surgical Oncology. As Director, you will play a pivotal role in defining the future of breast cancer treatment, advancing groundbreaking research, and mentoring the next generation of surgical leaders. You will lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care and improving the lives of our patients.

What You'll Do:

Lead & Innovate: Direct and shape the Breast Surgical Oncology program, advancing clinical excellence, and introducing innovative treatments and protocols.

Inspire & Educate: Mentor and develop the future leaders in surgery by providing expert training to medical students, residents, and fellows.

Collaborate & Elevate: Work alongside distinguished colleagues in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment to drive forward research initiatives and improve patient outcomes

Enhance Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care to every patient, making a direct impact on breast cancer treatment both regionally and nationally.

What We're Looking For:

Educational Background: Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency and a Breast Surgical Oncology or Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship.

Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Complex General Surgical Oncology or General Surgery.

Proven Leadership: A record of achievement in clinical practice and a track record of success in leading and developing clinical programs.

Expertise & Vision: Recognition as a leader in the field, with the ability to innovate, inspire, and implement best practices.

Mentorship & Teaching: Strong experience in teaching, mentoring, and developing academic talent at all levels.
