Asst/Assoc Prof/Clinical - Surgical OncologyÂ
The Department of Surgery and the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at UConn Health seek an energetic individual with strong interpersonal skills who is board-certified/board-eligible in Surgical Oncology to join our program.
 The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in breast cancer and surgical oncology, and will have completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology or Breast Surgical Oncology. This is a full-time clinical Assistant or Associate Professor position and does not require General Surgery call responsibilities. The candidate will also work to identify areas of opportunity and expand the clinical and community outreach programs of the Cancer Center. The individual will attend tumor boards and will be available to teach medical students and residents. If the candidate has an interest in a research program, depending upon the candidateâs background, interests and accomplishments, opportunities and resources for building such a program may also be available.Â
Clinical activities in the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center consist of Hematology/Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Neoplasia, Radiation Oncology, Neuro Oncology, and Gynecological Oncology. The center has strong programs in hematological malignancies as well as benign hematology, houses a nationally renowned New England Sickle Cell Institute, a Center for Bleeding Disorders, as well as a newly established stem cell transplant unit. A long-standing Colon Cancer Prevention Program is part of the Cancer Center. The major research programs include those in cancer immunotherapy, cancer prevention, cancer genomics and cancer cell biology. The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, located on our campus, is a partner institution.
