Clinical Instructor â Rising Scholars Program
The Department of Medicine of UConn Health is seeking applications for a mentored research program in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties. Successful candidates, under the supervision of a primary mentor will engage in a self-directed program aimed to gain knowledge, skills and data to become versed in clinical or translational research. Ultimately, by the completion of the program we expect that the participant will be able to become a successful independent investigator.

This is a clinical, non-tenure track position which is for a one-year period with options for renewal on an additional year contingent upon progress and continued funding of the program. The clinical instructor will be committed to approximately 0.3 clinical full-time equivalent (cFTE), corresponding to three half day sessions in primary care or subspecialty clinics. The remaining time will be committed to participation in research activities under the supervision of a primary mentor.

The minimum qualifications are a MD/DO degree (or its equivalent) BC/BE in Internal Medicine, and a valid Connecticut medical license.Â
