The University and Department are committed to fostering a workplace culture of belonging, where diversity is celebrated and inclusivity is a core value.Under the general direction of the Senior HR Director, Administrative Areas, the HR Generalist is responsible for managing all Talent Management activities activity for exempt, and non-exempt staff throughout the This position involves close interaction with University departments. The HR Generalist serves as liaison with coaches and staff building relationships and maintaining open communication on all facets of Talent Management.DACCR Talent Management is responsible for all HR activities across Athletics, Campus Recreation, and the Fred Rust Ice Arena consisting of 180 full time employees, and 700 part time staff, handling matters that are highly confidential in nature.The goal of the DACCR Talent Management is to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, and goal attainment. The incumbent will foster a work environment consistent with the DACCR culture and shares the responsibility for shaping and supporting a competent workforce and meeting the goal of being the workplace of choice.Major Responsibilities : RecruitmentOversees recruitment and onboarding logistics for new and existing positions, search procedures, interview process, and subsequent hiring following UD policies and procedures in partnership with UD Talent Acquisition and the Associate Director, Talent Management.Manages and tracks the recruitment, onboarding, off boarding process to ensure all steps complete.Provides support for the capstone and post-graduate internship programs inclusive of marketing, interviewing and placement.Oversees DACCR part-time miscellaneous wage, student, and volunteer staff recruitment and onboarding.Manages the policy and process for part-time hiring across the DACCR community ensuring consistent practices.Payroll & Records ManagementServes as point of contact for DACCR payroll and personnel records questions. Investigates issues and provides resolution to responsible party. Involves SR HR Director when necessary.Acts as timekeeper for UD workforce athletics part-time and DACCR full-time non-exempt employees.Manages HR and payroll transactions and maintains data integrity for the department including but not limited to JED’s, Position Change Forms, Supervisor Updates, Pay Additional Assignments, pay changes, equity increases.Serves as the department’s subject matter expert for UD Workforce, FLSA, MOUs, and ACA regulations. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance in ACA regulations, interacting daily with supervisors.Manages the Graduate turn-around and auto-term reporting process.Provides support during the annual review cycle and employee merit process.Maintains employee personal files.GeneralDelivers training, troubleshooting and navigating support for multiple UD systems : UD Talent Link, webforms / views, UD PIN / password reset, My UD Settings, UD e-mail, and UD ID cards.Manages Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for the department; dealing with highly confidential and complex situations, following Federal & UD policies.Provides employee relations support the SR HR Director.Manages the visa application process. In collaboration with OISS, oversees the complex and confidential visa application process. Serves as advisor to the PIs / Sponsors and the Foreign Nationals throughout the duration of the application and subsequently when they depart the Department / country.
