Position Summary This incumbent will be responsible for landscape and horticulture maintenance duties throughout all the main campus as well as the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Health Science Campus, and the Riverbend communities. The Landscape Manager will directly supervise Grounds Landscape, Horticulture Foreman, Mechanic Foreman and Urban Forester to plan and coordinate work activities of area landscape and horticulture crews and the equipment maintenance shop. The manager will also hold informational, and training meetings related to productivity, safety, and other related topics. The Landscape Manager will provide guidance and supervision to the Grounds Landscape, Horticulture Foremen, Mechanic foreman and Urban Forester. This employee will be responsible for the operation of typical landscape and horticulture maintenance equipment as well as the maintenance and service needs of such equipment. This department will interact with other departments within the Facilities Management Division to coordinate projects that impact campus grounds. This individual will interact with the Office of University Architects to review landscape plans for capital and restorative projects and ensure installations meet UGA Grounds Maintenance standards.
