Position Summary
Provides comprehensive leadership in order to shape a vibrant and inclusive on-campus living environment that enhances student engagement and success. Manages Residential Life staff development, customer service initiatives, and community programming while maintaining strong partnerships across campus. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University 's students. This is a 12-month, live-in staff position (on-campus residence must be primary residence), responsible for responding to emergency situations at all hours, including evenings and weekends.

Hiring Range
Starting salary is budgeted between $65,000 to $75,000, depending upon experience

Key Responsibilities
Staff Oversight and Development
Directs and implements ongoing professional development for all Residential Life Department staff.
Develops and implements comprehensive onboarding and training programs for all residential staff to ensure they are well-prepared to meet the needs of students.
Leads the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for residential staff, including customer service protocols, conduct management, incident response, and conflict resolution strategies.
Provides customer service training that emphasizes responsiveness, empathy, and a commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
Conducts regular assessments of staff performance, providing actionable feedback and ensuring accountability through transparent processes.

Service Excellence and Campus Partnerships
Manages and enforces on-call protocols, RA/RD manuals, and service standards that align with the department's commitment to student success.
Leads initiatives that enhance the student residential experience through a focus on exceptional customer service, community standards, and resident satisfaction.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with external community partners and campus departments to provide holistic support for students, particularly in areas of health, safety, and well-being.
Fosters collaborative partnerships with Public Safety, Title IX/EEO, and other key stakeholders to ensure that residential programming meets the diverse needs of all students. Programming and Residential Curriculum
Develops and implements community standards for both first-year and returning residents, ensuring alignment with the broader goals of the Office of Residential Life.
Oversees the planning and execution of engaging, educational residential programs in collaboration with Residential Life and Division of Student Success leaders.
Collaborates with Academic Affairs to create Residential Learning Community (RLC) themes that support students' academic and personal development.
Manages health and safety initiatives within residential communities, ensuring strong partnerships with campus and external agencies. Residential Community Management and Student Conduct
Promotes an inclusive and welcoming environment, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among residents.
Supports students in resolving roommate conflicts, managing community standards, and participating in community-building efforts.
Works closely with the conduct office on addressing conduct issues, ensuring a balanced approach to accountability and student support.
Enhances the residential educational experience through cleanliness initiatives, roommate agreements, and onboarding programs that introduce students to a diverse and inclusive campus community.
Serves as primary liaison to the Division of Student Success to assist with crisis and conduct response and serves as part of the department response team in cases of emergency. Acts as part of the reporting line for significant incidents or crises that occur during non-business hours, along with serving as the primary after-hours liaison with campus emergency management team Performs other related duties as assigned.
