Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops strategies to recruit Career Technical Education (CTE) traditional and non-traditional students.
- Coordinates and meets with local DoE and Charter school administrators, counselors, and staff in pathways planning to advocate CTE programs and conduct outreach to prospective students.
- Coordinates and meets with local businesses in the community to advocate programs for recruitment, internships, and job placement.
- Manages and develops new community partnerships and strengthen existing relationships for employment training and job placement/apprenticeship opportunities for current and future students.
- Coordinates and works collaboratively with CTE faculty, counseling, marketing, and webmaster on program outreach by development of strategies and products such as brochures, informational handouts, digital media, social media, events, and program websites.
- Manages and tracks CTE student recruitment, graduates, and job placement working collaboratively with the campus Institutional Researcher and Institutional Effectiveness Office.
- Tracks CTE programs AAS/AS degree graduation rates, CTE course and general education course completions.
- Coordinates workshops and tutoring sessions to improve student persistence and graduation rates.
- Collaborates with campus divisions and other departments and agencies to create and maintain an online database of job shadowing, Coop, and internship opportunities.
- Assists in the organization of job fairs on campus, attends outside job fairs, invites employers to speak to current students, and arranges on-campus interviews.
- Conducts employer needs assessments and follow-up sessions as needed.

- Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
